Types of Actors

Flex DAO

The Flex Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) governs the protocol, guiding its growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shaping and evolving the Flex vision, aligning the ecosystem's path towards this vision

• Monitoring and optimizing the roles of all ecosystem Actors, ensuring their effective participation

• Managing and expanding the Flex treasury to support long-term ecosystem development

Flex-Powered dApps

These dApps form the core of the Flex ecosystem, addressing core Web3 challenges while rewarding Flex Community Members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reward Flex community members for their interactions and engagement with the dApps

• Contribute a portion of their intellectual property and brand value to the Flex ecosystem in exchange for ecosystem benefits

• Responsibly grow their user base and Total Value Locked (TVL) while supporting other Flex-Powered dApps

Some dApps have contributed as much as 50% of their IP and value to the Flex ecosystem!

Flex Community Members

Flex Community Members are individuals who actively participate in and contribute to the Flex ecosystem. They form the lifeblood of the network, driving engagement and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interact with Flex-Powered dApps, utilizing their services and providing valuable feedback for improvement

• Engage with and boost the Flex ecosystem's online presence through social media interactions, content creation, and community discussions

Flex Contributors

A select group of 200 individuals, chosen for their expertise and dedication to voluntarily offer specialized services to the Flex ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide active contributions aligned with their unique skills, offering specialized services to strengthen the Flex ecosystem

• Participate actively in governance processes, helping to shape and refine the long-term vision and strategy for Flex

Flex Validators

A dedicated network of actors who operate Flex nodes, responsible for recognizing, validating, and rewarding actions of Community Members and fellow Validators within the Flex ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate Flex Nodes and maintain a stake in Flex tokens to ensure network security and integrity

• Ensure untampered and fair validation processes

• Participate actively in the network's consensus mechanism
